The page describes how to organize maintenance in an injection shop: preventive work by calendar or by cycle count, the mold managed as equipment attached to the press that carries it, spare parts linked to the intervention that consumed them, and auxiliaries (dryers, temperature control units, chillers) tracked as equipment in their own right. On stops, the principle is stated plainly: “L’arrêt se déclare sur l’équipement qui a lâché, la presse, le moule ou le thermorégulateur, avec sa durée et son motif.” (in other words: a stop is logged against the equipment that failed, whether the press, the mold or the temperature control unit, with its duration and reason).

That is the right rule for maintenance: a stop documented on the right asset feeds the history, MTBF and MTTR. Altensya is also clear about what its software does not do: it does not read press controls, PLCs or sensors, and it does not calculate OEE in real time. That leaves a zone that automatic measurement covers: losses too short or too gradual for an operator to think of logging.
